Roman Clay

Roman Clay is a hand-troweled clay plaster finish that gives walls a soft, stone-like texture with gentle movement and depth. It’s matte, velvety to the touch, and brings a warm, natural feel to modern and classic interiors alike.

Key Benefits of Roman Clay
  • Soft, Stone-Like Look
A matte, cloudy finish with subtle variation that feels natural and timeless.
  • Wide Range of Colors
From warm whites and greiges to deep earthy tones, Roman Clay works with both quiet and bold color choices.
  • Low-VOC, Low-Odor
A water-based, zero-VOC finish made from natural ingredients, comfortable to have in your home.
  • Handcrafted Finish
Every wall is troweled by hand, so no two finishes look exactly alike.
Our Roman Clay Process
  • Consultation & Color Selection
We talk through your space, show samples, and help you choose the color and the level of movement you want.
  • Surface Preparation
Roman Clay needs a smooth, well-prepared wall. We repair imperfections, sand, and prime so the finish goes on evenly.
  • Hand-Troweled Application
We apply a base coat and a finish coat with a trowel, building the texture and depth layer by layer.
  • Protection & Final Detailing
For hallways and other high-traffic areas, we add a protective topcoat, then inspect the finish and leave the space clean.
